Once the battle has started, the zones fall off one by one, starting with the outermost zone. Your goal is to escape the zone, that is going burn down next, and reach the next one.

If you can’t make it, you’re out of the competition and can’t win the game mode anymore. However, you can still play the game! Gather resources and upgrade your buildings or use them to support those of your alliance members, who are still in the competition. You can also still move over the map, but only in the eliminated zones. You can’t enter the enabled zones again, nor interact with habitats in these zones. Also you won’t be able to find Loot Chests any longer.
