The codes you can find underneath a patient name in the mission details are patient codes.

The codes are derived from the Medical Priority Dispatch System. This system is used by the dispatchers in the US to determine the priority of a call and to make sure appropriate unit are dispatched.

In MissionChief the letter in the middle of the the code may determine if transport is needed and what units can be dispatched.

For example:

• A && - Patient can be treated on scene, no transport needed
• A, B or Ω - A BLS can be used
• Ω - Transport chance of 5%
