If you want to find out whether you can get a mission—and if not, why that’s the case—here are some tips:
Check the list of potential missions.
- If the mission has a green background, you are eligible to get it.
- If not, then you don’t meet all the requirements.
Verify the required stations or extensions.
- In most cases, you just need to have the required stations or extensions anywhere in the game.
- For example, if a mission requires 3 fire stations, 2 police stations, and 2 ambulance stations, it doesn’t matter where you’ve built them or how close they are to the station generating the mission.
- Exception: if the stations belong to a dispatch center with a defined coverage area, they only count for missions generated by stations in the same coverage area.
- Learn more about coverage areas here: What is a coverage area?
Make sure your stations or extensions are activated.
- Otherwise, they won’t count toward mission requirements.
Check for required POIs.
- If a mission is marked green but you feel you never get it, it may require a POI.
- The POI must be close to the station that generates the mission.
- Example: a mission of the type Firefighter Mission with the POI Office Building will only be generated if that POI is near a fire station.
- For most missions, this distance is no more than 2 kilometers. The more stations with the correct POI nearby, the higher your chance of getting that specific mission.
Remember that mission generation is random.
- Even if all conditions are met, there is no guarantee you’ll receive a certain mission.
