When you try to build a new building you may notice that some buildings cannot be placed everywhere. This can have several reasons. Each building has a set of placement rules that define where it can or cannot be placed. The placement rules are shown when you try to place the building on the map:
- Buildings come in different sizes. Depending on the size the field you want to place your new building may be blocked by another building.
- Each hexagonal tile has a type which is defined by the kind of buildings that can be found there in real life. Buildings can only be placed on a field if the type matches.
e.g.: You can place a farm on farmland, but it is not allowed to place the farm into a residential district. - There are not enough free hexagonal tiles next to each other at the position you want to build. Check the building size of your building and search for a place with enough space around it.
If all placement rules are marked green the building can be placed.
