The load capacity shows how many resources the vehicle can transport. This is relevant because the duration of a transport increases if the weight of the goods is higher than the load capacity of all assigned vehicles together. It also shows you which storage type the vehicle belongs to. A vehicle can only transport resources with the same storage type.
